Partnership and Programme Managers - Two opportunities
The Surrey VCSE Alliance is seeking two experienced Partnership and Programme Managers to lead its strategic work at a time of significant change across the county.
The Alliance brings together voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to strengthen the sector’s voice and contribution. We work with partners across health, care and local government to ensure that communities, people with lived experience and VCSE organisations help shape decisions that affect them.
As neighbourhood health approaches develop and Surrey prepares for new East Surrey and West Surrey unitary authorities, you will help the sector build strong partnerships, influence change and turn shared ambitions into practical action.
The Role
Working on behalf of the Alliance Leadership Board, and alongside another Partnership and Programme Manager, you will:
• Lead Alliance projects and workstreams, keeping delivery focused on agreed outcomes.
• Build productive relationships with VCSE organisations, NHS partners, local government and communities.
• Help ensure VCSE insight and lived experience inform neighbourhood health and local government developments.
• Support the development of a Surrey Compact and stronger approaches to commissioning and partnership working.
• Represent the Alliance in strategic meetings and bring partners together around shared priorities.
• Help articulate the strengths of Surrey’s VCSE sector and develop opportunities for future collaboration and investment.
Both managers will work across Surrey. Each will also develop particular relationships in East or West Surrey while contributing to one countywide Alliance.
About you
You will bring substantial experience of leading programmes or partnerships involving multiple organisations.
You will be confident building relationships with senior stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and turning complex information into clear plans, briefings and recommendations.
You will understand the value of prevention, community development, co-production and action to reduce health inequalities.
You will be organised, diplomatic and comfortable working independently in a changing environment.
Experience of Surrey’s VCSE sector, health and care system, commissioning or local government change would be welcome. Above all, you will be committed to ensuring that communities and VCSE organisations have a meaningful voice in the decisions that shape services.
Working with us
These flexible, largely home-based roles may suit experienced candidates seeking a portfolio assignment or secondment. You will need to attend meetings and events across Surrey. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and particularly encourage those from under represented communities and people with relevant lived experience. Access to Work support will be provided where appropriate.
How to apply
Please submit a CV and supporting statement explaining how your experience meets the requirements of the role. Download the Partnership and Programme Manager full information below.
